Myers wrote a list of the 10 Best Things to Do In Toronto published in "The Book of Lists" (Canadian Edition, 2005). Here is the list:
  1. Watching Hockey Night in Canada at a friend's house, knowing that after the game I'm going to hook up with an even bigger group of friends I haven't seen in a long time.
  2. Taking the TTC subway to the hockey game and standing at the window of the front car, putting my face against it and imagining I'm flying through the tunnel.
  3. Gouging out the corner of Lowney's Cherry-Blossom with my teeth and watching it bleed.
  4. Eating a Swiss Chalet quarter-chicken white meat dinner, salting up the fries and dunking them into that mysterious sauce, while watching the game. I save the Tobblerone [ed's note: it's now Lindor] that comes with the dinner for the streetcar ride along Queen Street.
  5. Trick-or-treating in Cabbagetown on Halloween.
  6. Listening to the ice sheets collide by the Toronto Police Boat station on Lake Ontario at 3:00 in the morning at the dead of winter with a Tim Hortons double-double and a raised maple doughnut.
  7. Eating ketchup-flavoured chips while walking through Kensington Market in late May.
  8. Playing shinny on a bright, sunny afternoon between Christmas and New Year's at the outdoor rink in Ramsden Park, across from Rosedale subway station.
  9. Eating a hot dog from Licks while walking through Kew Gardens in October, trying to figure out if the Leafs have a chance this year.
  10. Sitting on the front bench on the top deck of the Centre Island Ferry at 4:00 in the afternoon in late August.
