Born in Toronto.

One of the places he lived is an apartment building on St. Clair near Avenue Rd. (plaque there).

According to CBC: " Sometime between two and three every morning Gould would go to Fran's, a 24-hour diner a block away from his Toronto apartment, sit in the same booth and order the same meal of scrambled eggs."

Died at Toronto General Hospital on Oct. 4, 1982 after a massive stroke.

Buried at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. His gravestone has the first notes of the Goldberg Variations.

Statue of him in front of CBC Building on Front. St.
